Product Description: 

This product is a white emulsion formed by homogenizing alkyl ketene dimer (AKD) and cationic surfactants. It is suitable for reactive sizing agents used in papermaking under neutral to slightly alkaline conditions (pH 7.5 to 8.5). Widely used in the production of various high-grade cultural paper, photographic base paper, fruit bag paper, packaging paper, and cardboard. It can enhance the whiteness, smoothness, and uniformity of paper sheets, significantly improve the printability and ink absorption of paper, and adapt to the development of inkjet technology. Additionally, it reduces white water load, lowers energy consumption, and improves operational environment.

Product Performance:

1. Significantly improves paper strength, toughness, whiteness, and opacity, with good optical properties, chemical stability, and printability;

2. High tolerance to calcium carbonate filler (10 to 30%), which can save fiber raw materials and reduce pulp consumption;

3. Does not require aluminum sulfate, greatly reducing the solid content in white water, facilitating closed-loop circulation, reducing environmental pollution, and saving water;

4. Due to papermaking under alkaline conditions, it reduces equipment corrosion and extends the service life of screens and felts.

Precautions:

Maintain the pH of the headbox between 7.5 and 8.5; the Zeta potential of the flow chest should be between -3 and 5mv, which can improve the retention rate in the first stage and the sizing efficiency of AKD;

A reasonable temperature rise curve can improve the sizing efficiency and curing speed of AKD;

If separation, thickening, or significant gas emission is observed in the sizing agent emulsion during use, stop using it immediately;

In hot summer temperatures, add 30-50ppm of bactericide to the pulp or white water.

Packaging and Storage:

Store this product in a sealed container in a cool place (5°C to 30°C), avoid exposure to sunlight and freezing; shelf life is 3 months.

Packaging available in 200kg and 1000kg plastic drums.
