Corrugated cardboard is a type of board composed of corrugated cores and covering layers formed between two or more layers of cardboard, commonly known as "corrugated board," "corrugated paper," "corrugated core paper," "corrugated paper core," or "corrugated base paper." The corrugated waves resemble interconnected arches, arranged in rows and mutually supporting each other, forming a triangular structural body with good mechanical strength. It can withstand a certain amount of pressure from a flat surface and is rich in elasticity, providing excellent cushioning.

Types of Corrugated Cardboard

1. Exposed Flute Board: Consists of a layer of core paper and a layer of cowhide paper, commonly referred to as "exposed flute board." Exposed flute board is generally used only as a liner, spacer, or for irregularly shaped packaging objects.

2. Single Flute Board: Consists of a layer of core paper and upper and lower layers of cowhide paper.

3. Double Flute Board: Consists of two layers of core paper sandwiched between three layers of cowhide paper. Double flute board can be composed of different flute widths and paper qualities, such as pairing "B" flute paper with "C" flute paper.

4. Triple Flute Board: Consists of three layers of core paper sandwiched between four layers of cowhide paper.

5. Super Double Wall Board: Derived from single flute board, the middle layer of core paper is formed by overlapping two thick core papers.

Characteristics of Corrugated Paper

1. Excellent Compression Resistance: Micro-corrugated cardboard has better compression resistance than ordinary solid cardboard boxes of the same weight. Therefore, different flute types can be combined according to their characteristics for different purposes, processed and manufactured into various packaging products.

2. Strong Cushioning Force: Using micro-corrugated cardboard as a substitute for traditional cushioning materials not only is environmentally friendly but also increases compression strength. It is an ideal cushioning material.

3. Good Printing Effect: Most micro-corrugated packaging adopts offset printing, with excellent printing effects and strong color performance. After UV coating, it not only achieves waterproofing but also increases the compression strength of the packaging.

4. Cost Saving: Micro-corrugated cardboard is used to make poster-style corrugated paper displays, which are convenient for transportation and cost-saving. Due to the smaller flute size of micro-corrugated cardboard, it has better printing adaptability and exquisite printing, making it a better choice for making poster-style corrugated paper display racks and other display packaging.
